I guess this is pretty good for what it is. It doesn’t seem very inspiring to play music by tapping on a screen though. Maybe keyboard players would think it was fun :p
Here’s a great looking Telecaster by Protocaster guitars. A small shop doing relic type guitars. Most people tend to fall on either side of the love-it or hate-it fence when it comes to relics. But the way I see it, there are two different types of relic’ing. One is the guitars that look like they have been attacked by an angry mob of belt-sanders and dragged behind a pickup down a gravel road. Then there are relics like this one that look like the guitar you might find in a pawn shop in some small town or cleaning out Grandpa’s attic. This type, when done well, I like.
Here’s an interesting technique for punching circles out of flat plastic sheet using a drill press. It’s from luthier Mr. Glyn. Basically he grinds the back end of a drill bit flat, then uses that same drill (the front side) to drill a hole in some steel. You then flip the bit back around without moving the steel block. Of course you could make side dots this way as well. Some materials may crack using this technique so you may have to experiment a bit.
