I wrote about the Devi Ever Console last year. But after a short while there stopped being updates on it, and I assumed the project dead. I’m guessing the popularity of Kickstarter had a big part to play in this project coming back to life.
The idea of the console ‘pedal’, is similar to an old-school video game system that used cartridges. You switched games simply by plugging in a different cartridge. This console works the same way, except that the cartridges each contain a complete stompbox circuit. And just with in the last few days, two new versions were introduced. So along with the original, two cartridge Console, there is also a one and three slot versions.
Now, if this system only worked with Devi Ever pedals, it would be kind of cool, but the flexibility would be kind of wasted, since Devi only makes fuzz FX. But she has managed to get a bunch of other pedal builders to commit to building cartridges for it as well. The list seems to be growing daily, but there’s already some interesting names onboard:

Here’s a video where Devi explains it in greater detail. There’s also lots more info on the Kickstarter page.
Thanks for the write up. 😀
No problem. Hope you get funded, it’s a cool idea.
